Bark and Thumbtack use manipulative and non-transparent methods to try to trick you into hiring a DJ, and they do not disclose to you as the consumer what their algorithms are for which DJs they are lining up, how much they are charging to market your personal information, and so forth.  Their business models are only designed to enrich the owners of Bark and Thumbtack, and to knock off the search engines like Google and Bing from helping you easily locate local talent in your area.
